Sunday Reading List
Happy Eostre! I meant to get up early and watch the sunrise, but I woke in the middle of the night and couldn’t get back to sleep. I tried to fix the ‘recent posts’ widget for my links but I never could get it to work. I finally fell asleep and woke up too late for sunrise; but it’s foggy here so I would have most likely been disappointed anyway. I did find a different WordPress plugin that shows a snippet of the 2 latest posts when you hover over the blogroll links. I think I like this better, although it took a bit of maneuvering to get the snippet to show up in a strategic place on my netbook.
I have set up my blogroll with links to blogs that are updated often and those that I read consistently. On Sunday morning my current ritual is to get up, get a cup of coffee, and settle in to catch up on the blogs. Afterwards I go look for other interesting reading. Here are a few of the other articles/sites I found interesting today.
Beyond Jung: The Building Blocks of Synchronicity, the Cosmos, Life & Human Social Reality (emergent-culture.com)
Diloggun and its relationship to Tarot (Association for Tarot Studies) from the text … “The goal of diloggun is to reveal the will of effective demi-gods, called orisha, as well as ancestors both genetic and spiritual.”
Modern Paths: Goddesses (modernpaths.com) This site has links to quite a few other sites on Goddess worship and women’s spirituality.
University of Memphis’ Institute of Egyptian Art and Archeaology I wish I lived close enough to attend some of the presentations they have. As it is, I am very privileged to live close enough to be able to attend Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Studies. They have great professors on staff, wonderful archaeology offerings, and their courses are nothing short of world class!
Well, that’s enough for now. Eventually I want to create posts with links to specific subjects whenever I get into the flow of doing research. I’ll save that for another day, though.
